Ruth’s medicine making workshops are a wonderful balance of theory and practical application. Learn about the medicinal science of specific plants, their preparation and how to create a medicinal product for yourself.
Ruths workshops may focus on one or more plants, each plant will be studied through a sensory mediation where the group are guided to explore the information we can gain from the 7 tastes in relation to herbal chemistry.
Ruth guides the group to make products such as syrups, tinctures, decoctions, infused or macerated oils, ointments, creams, balms, liniments and much more. Often the practical medcine making will incorporate the plant which the group is studying in greater depth. The art of making medicines is a vital skill for anyone wishing to create a home apothecary.
